How to retrieve data from eTask Source

After completing the steps to connect to the eTask source, follow these steps to retrieve data from the source and display it in the Excel file.

Step 1: Connect to eTask source:

  • Begin by ensuring you are logged into the eTask source from the login page.

  • Support connection between eTask and eBug objects.

Step 2: Select a Channel:

  • Select an existing Channel from eTask source.

    • Public Channel
    • Private Channel

Step 3: Select a View:

  • Select any available view from the Channel.

    • Built-in view
    • Private view
    • Shared view

Step 4: Retrieve and Display Data:

  • Once you have finalized your selection of Channel, View, click the "Open" button. This action will display the data from your selected View in the Excel file, ensuring the data is correctly retrieved and the connection is stable.

How to retrieve data from eFile Source

After completing the steps to connect to the eFile source, follow these steps to retrieve data from the source and display it in the Excel file.

Step 1: Connect to eFile Source:

  • Begin by ensuring you are logged into the eFile source from the login page.

Step 2: Select a Channel:

  • Select an existing Channel that contains data from eFile.

    • Public Channel
    • Private Channel

Step 3: Select a View:

  • Select any available view from the Channel:

    • Home View
    • Private View

Step 4: Select a Folder (Optional):

  • If you have chosen a Home View to connect, you can select a specific folder to get its data. However, selecting a folder is optional. If you do not select a folder, the system will retrieve data based on the view user selected.
    • For Home View: users can select any folder available within the Home View, and the data from that folder will be displayed accurately.

    • For Private View, folders are not supported (only files are included). Therefore, when Private View is selected, the Folder field will display the text “None” and the field will be disabled.

Step 5: Retrieve and display data:

  • Once you have finalized your selection of Channel, View, and Folder click the "Open" button. This action will display the data from your selected View or Folder in the Excel file, ensuring the data is correctly retrieved and the connection is stable.

How to retrieve data from UPS source

After completing the steps to connect to the UPS source, follow these steps to retrieve data from the source and display it in the Excel file.

Step 1: Connect to UPS Source:

  • Begin by ensuring you are logged into the UPS source from the login page

Step 2: Select a View:

  • After selecting the channel, the user needs to choose the view that the user wants to get data. The option include:

    • Default view

Step 3: Retrieve and display data:

  • Once you have finalized your selection of Channel, View, click the "Open" button. This action will display the data from your selected View in the Excel file, ensuring the data is correctly retrieved and the connection is stable.
